At the Clyde Artist Network, We fully support the idea shared by Austin Keon in his "Steal Like an Artist:" "It's so important to have a hobby. A hobby is something creative that's just for you. You don't trty to make money or get famous off it, you just do it because it makes you happy. A hobby is something that gives but doesn't take." Here at CAN, we are giving people the opportunity...to share their hobbies, passiions, creative works. Please support them. Through this idea we belive we are strengthening our creative arts and crafts community by encouraging, teaching, and shining a light on our neighbors' art. Through our start-up 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, we aim to spark conversations and foster deeper connections among members of our community. By sharing our creative works, we are discovering how much we have in common, bridging differences through the universal language of art.
Whether it's bowls, quilts, plants, ceramics, paintings, fine art photography, woodworking, or any other handmade crafts—it's all art, and it all starts conversations. Our work is about more than just creating objects; it's about building relationships, understanding each other, and celebrating our collective creativity.
Let’s continue this open dialogue, expressing ourselves and growing together. Big plans are ahead—stay tuned!

Thank You for an Amazing 2024!
Oh my goodness, what a fantastic year 2024 has been for the Clyde Artist Network! We are thrilled to announce that we have officially become a federally recognized public charity—our 501(c)(3) status is official. Wowza!
This year, we held our second Earth Day Celebration, hosted our second community BBQ, and threw our second Ice Cream Social. Now, we’re gearing up for our **4th Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Festival** at the Clyde Community Center (aka Clubhouse) in Clyde, CA! It’s been a big year for us, and the momentum keeps building.
In addition, we’ve introduced some merchandise to help spread the love: silk-screened reusable shopping bags ($10) and CAN T-shirts ($20)!
A special shoutout to those in Clyde who have supported us from the very beginning—our spouses, partners, friends, family, and community leaders. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to organizations and businesses like Legends, the Clyde Community Improvement Association, and the Clyde Community Club. Without all of you, we wouldn’t be spreading our wings and casting a wider net.
To the creators and those who inspire them, we thank and appreciate you. Here's to more creativity and connection in the coming year!
During the Great Shelter in Place amid the COVID-19 pandemic, photographer Jason Steinberg (of Steinberg Imagery) found himself restless. To channel his creativity, he began experimenting with woodworking, crafting yard furniture and frames for his photography. However, without opportunities to connect face-to-face, Jason longed for a way to share his work with the community. In 2021, he took the initiative to organize an Arts & Crafts Festival in the parking lot of the Clyde Community Center. This event marked the birth of the Clyde Artist Network. Since then, neighbors have joined forces to strengthen the network, and our aspirations for growth are immense—stay tuned!

Together, we CAN!
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to help those in need. Together, we can make a difference.
